Sunderland Target Record Attendance For League Division One

Sunderland Target Record Attendance For League Division One

This information comes from the official SAFC website.

Since Sunderland have sold around 22,000 season cards so far, the Wearsiders are looking to break the record for the highest attendance in League One.
In fact, so far, 26,000 tickets have been sold for the game against Charlton on Saturday.

It was 21 years ago that Manchester City, yes I said Man City, who broke the previous record with an attendance of 28,261.
So, can Sunderland do it on the first game?
Yes we can!

Come on lads and lasses get behind the lads, look what happened since Man City last done it.
Remember this is a 12:30 kick off and tickets are as low as £20 for an adult and £7.50 for the bairns.

Haway the lads!

Not sure if we want that record to be honest.

Hopefully we get the record attendance and then see it grow. Obviously if we start the season good it might.

Sorry to disappoint but this is not correct, it is an average of 28,261 over a SEASON and not in one game.
Manchester City done that so we have to average over 28,261 for the coming season to beat that record.
I think we can do it but this will rely on coming out the traps early.

I might have the day off today!
