Sunderland 1-1 Fleetwood Town - 08/09/18 Result
English League One - Stadium Of Light - kick off 3pm.
Sunderland starting XI: McLaughlin, Matthews, Loovens, Baldwin, Gooch, Cattermole, Honeyman, McGeouch, Hume, Maguire, Maja
Sunderland substitutes: Ruiter, Ozturk, Wyke, Flanagan, O’Nien, James, Sinclair
Sunderland are slipping a bit but are still unbeaten in this terrible league.
Again, Sunderland were 1-0 down in the early stages of a game - 5 out of 7 now.
Josh Maja equalised just before half time and that was it - full time score 1-1.
That's 4 points at home we have lost so lets hope they can make amends on our away trips.
On the plus side, McLaughlin saved a penalty for Sunderland.
This was the first penalty save for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
The last penalty save for Sunderland in a league game was in 1989 by Tony Norman but that was at Roker Park.
It has took almost 30 years for the Wearsiders to see that.
Sunderland started well then the defence became static but we got back into the game when Maja scored.
We were almost humiliated by Fleetwood Mickey Mouse club.
Jack Ross, there's a long way until January - do your homework now!

That was Fleetwood Towns biggest game they will ever have - their cup final which they won't see again.
I might have the day off today!

Well they wont know what hit them when we go there.
But really, Fleetwood Town are not worthy of being in the league let alone this division.
They will disappear and look back at their 1-1 away draw against a massive club.
I might have the day off today!

Don't panic lad's, we are unbeaten with several players to return to full fitness. We might be going behind early but we are grinding out results and are unbeaten. We could be going in front and succumbing to our lead but we are not, we are showing togetherness, determination and a belief not shown in years.... Take the positives, we will provail, have faith.
