Hey my younger brother wears a beard and I think he looks nice with it. He gets a bit stick from his mates but he feels comfortable with it.

Fashion...it's fleeting. Problem is that if you "fall" for someone who is over the top trendy you might not fancy that person later when that particular trend is over, I.e. bushy beards, tattoos and piercings.
