Worst season in our proud history
Worst season in our proud history
Bar none. We might still be promoted but in terms of league position this season has been the worst ever.

Re: Worst season in our proud history
If we get promoted I would say it's on par with the last time we went down in the third division. But there are other seasons which could be classed as worse like when we got 15 points or was it 19 in the Premier League I can't remember.
Mind you, the Fleetwood result has got to go down as the worst scoreline in our history!

Didn't we get 19 which was the lowest ever and then beat it with 15 soon after

We finished top in "88" under Denis Smith. We have never finished a season as low placed as this season.Nockya wrote: ↑04 May 2019, 17:31 If we get promoted I would say it's on par with the last time we went down in the third division. Re: Worst season in our proud history
Very true but all will be forgiven if we get one over Portsmouth and win the Wembley trip.
And under Smithy ok we had Eric Gates and Marco Gabbiadini but this season will have been better but only if we get promotion.
I think we should wait until we know what league we will be playing in before the inquest start.
Could be good but could be a disaster, so far wits still in the balance.

Hmmmmm I am not sure yet. On league position yes but we will forget that should we go up.
I think the majority of Sunderland supporters know what's happened at the club in recent years and will be forgiving if the lads do the business.

What was that you said again?

Re: Worst season in our proud history
I logged on to ask the question whether we thought it was a successful season but after this post I don't think I'll bother
I might have the day off today!
