Ozturk Wins His Red Card Appeal
Watch the video for yourself.
No way was this a red card and no I am not being biased.
Two players are battling for the ball, Ozturk clearly wins it.
No intention of a foul and it was up to the Portsmouth player to act accordingly.
We have managed to overturn a few of these bad refereeing decisions recently.
The standard of refereeing in this league has been terrible on many occasions.
Al the more reason for Sunderland to get out of this hell hole.
Yes, we won the game but we could have won it by 2 goals, just maybe that red card cost us promotion.

Re: Ozturk Wins His Red Card Appeal
I said on the other thread that no way was it a red card.
Must admit that the referees have been below the standard that we are used to.

What was that you said again?
Re: Ozturk Wins His Red Card Appeal
I thought it was a red card. Obviously I'm wrong. Very surprised it was rescinded saying that.

Referee was wrong, had he judged in our favour as he should have, we wouldn't have had the debate.

Re: Ozturk Wins His Red Card Appeal
We were always going to win this one, the lad clearly got the ball, the Portsmouth player had his options open to him on this 50/50 ball, it wasn't his and Ozturk won it. Common sense prevailed.
