Sunderland v Oxford - 03/08/2019

English League One | Stadium of Light | Kick off 3pm

Well here we go, a new season starts for the lads and the supporters of this famous old club.
Will this be the start of a successful 2019/20 campaign?
Has the club done enough business in the transfer market to make us a formidable team or are we going to be just another third division team?

The friendlies are gone now and the real stuff starts today, let's see what happens.

Sunderland starting XI: J McLaughlin, C McLaughlin, Willis, Flanagan, Gooch, Dobson, McGeouch, Hume, Embleton, Grigg, McNulty
SAFC substitutes: Burge, Ozturk, Maguire, O’Nien, Watmore, McGeady, Leadbitter

Haway The Lads.
Sunderland Til I Die.

This looks like an attacking team to me but whether we can find the net I don't know.
After last season I am not too confident but obviously we need to give the lads the benefit of the doubt.
Am up for it and excited at this new line up and refuse to whinge and whine just yet.
I really hope I don't have to complain too much this season

Hopefully we have reason to celebrate but I am sure there will be an odd rumble of discontent this season in some way.

We are looking ok on the break but not taking advantage.
Not sure if we can't get up in numbers yet.
Last season we would (usually) finish the game stronger so here's hoping.
