Sunderland City Centre - Dead When It Should Be Full Of Life
This taxi driver sums up Sunderland City Centre on Saturday night just after Boris Johnson closed the pubs and clubs due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
It's normally heaving at that time of the morning but it's totally dead.
He calls it prohibition which could be what we are living through.

There'll be hardly any airport or school runs and nobody going to the pubs etc.
Taxi drivers are going to have it a bit rough.

Things are slowly winding down even the buses and Metro system.

It's pointless operating a full service when the population is almost on a total lockdown.Bus Driver wrote: ↑23 Mar 2020, 18:24

Well done to the taxi driver for showing us a glimpse into the city centre at that time.
Preserve it because we will get through this and it's a part of history now.
