The moral is to give your teeth and mouth even more attention now and let it be part of your daily routine for good
It's always been brush your teeth twice a day but I know some people lead busy lives and forget.

They are horrible but can go without treatment.
When I get those I use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth at night before bed and an ordinary toothpaste during the day.
The sensation should be gone in a couple of days but keep it up until the toothpaste is used then get another for the future.

Are those the sort that come for a second then go away but come back in about a minute or two for the same dull ache?
Those are the sort I get.

Yes but I think it affects people in different ways.
Try the sensitive teeth toothpaste for a while.
Also cut out the sweets and eat fruit after your meals which will clean your teeth a little.

Isn't that a sign that you might need a filling?

Not really because it will go and might stay away for months on end. Only those severe toothaches might need filling.

Problem being that some toothache pains don't go that easy.

If there's a cavity, there's no point in ignoring it, that could get infected, lead to an abscess, and potentially need an extraction.

I understand that dentists need to protect themselves as the job they do, leads them to a higher percentage of getting the virus or passing it on to another patient.

If people leave these problems now, they're only going to build up as more serious further down the line.

I had a small cavity decades ago and the dentist says it's good for a few years before needing a filling.
