Making face masks compulsory in public would stop second wave, says study
https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus- ... y-12003836
Requiring everyone to wear a face mask in public, combined with on/off lockdowns would prevent a second wave of coronavirus for 18 months, according to new research.
"The most effective way to restart daily life is to encourage everyone to wear some kind of mask whenever they are in public."
What if you're more than 2 metres away from anyone else, out in a park or street?
In crowded places, yes.. Every day, out in the fresh air, Err.. Really?
Knew this was coming, we'll be forced to wear them 24/7 wherever you are at this rate.
Why don't we tell blokes to keep clean shaven as well? The virus could stick to their beard.. Or maybe we could force people to have a restricted length of hair?
When it's windy, it could be transmitted by flowing hair particles through the air..
Lets force everyone to wear gloves as well, those damn people keep touching stuff that could be contaminated..
Where do we cross the line that divides us between our health and our freedoms?

I have both heard and read terrifying stories about face masks.
Many of them tend to release particles that you breathe in causing permanent respiratory problems.
Do your own research first though
I don't think I will use any face coverings unless the service I use is necessary and they insist.

I'm afraid you will be still breathing in fires, even if you make one with a plain white t-shirt.
Worse still are those with respiratory problems to begin with like asthma.

Really, you're not supposed to breath in anything but air, sounds obvious but it's true.
Scarves and cut up tshirts are not designed to be wrapped around your mouth

This is the official government site telling you how to make face coverings out of rags - https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... e-covering

Your lungs are designed to breath in fresh air, not cotton, polyester, or wool fibres.Sunderland Nut wrote: ↑12 Jun 2020, 00:04It's encouraged though!Steve30000 wrote: ↑11 Jun 2020, 21:30

No doubt, in years to come.. The NHS will be dealing with people having problems with their lungs due to breathing in fibres from inadequate face masks.
But... Let's not look at the bigger picture here, let's think short term.
In other countries, the police actually hand out proper face masks. I suppose that's called looking after your people, not like Boris and his band of merry muppets

What's happened to the clean air act?
I don't want to breathe in any fibres of any sort.
Anyone got any links to the health problems caused by these things.
I can find things like this - https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/001089.htm
But I can't find links to news articles about the breakdown of commercial facemasks which cause similar problems.
