EFL to allow 5 subs from Friday

Using 5 substitutes might unsettle a team a bit.

There's times when Sunderland are totally lost and 5 fresh pair of legs could work.
This is going to be weird.
The funny thing is though that the Championship clubs can name 9 substitutes and play 5 but Leagues 1 and 2 can only name 7.
It's not that funny really is it

How come this league gets all the rules and the ones above don't have to go through this ?

I wonder if we will get to the stage when you can play one team in the first half and a completely different team in the second half.

5 individual subs at 30 seconds each is 5 minutes.

It would benefit us better if we could have nine substitutes but some would argue that Phil Parkinson is not a good strategist to be able to get the best out of the new rules.

Why does the championship get away with the salary cap as well?
