Peterborough keeper out for the rest of the season

Post by Steve30000 »

https://www.theposh.com/news/2021/april ... he-season/

They've got 2 other keepers, but they're looking for an emergency loan.

Errr....no, you should have to use one of those keepers.

You can only do this if the other 2 able keepers are under 18. Ones 24, the other is 18, so they'll have to use one of them.

If the EFL allow them an emergency loan then they're breaking their own rules.

I'll make a prediction here....their 24 year old keeper suddenly develops an 'injury' , so they can get an emergency loan.

Looks like they could be signing a keeper from Stoke...

The EFL are a joke

It depends on what the rules are.

They've got a perfectly good no2 there... Use him.
If burge gets injured then we should be able to loan another keeper then, obviously they can bend the rules, then so can we..

There'll be a rule what says "special conditions".

They've only just gotten away with it. Their no2 needs to have played no more than 5 competitive games in the league otherwise they'd have had to play him instead....he's played 4.

Strange how their No1 keeper carried on playing with the injury for the last ten minutes, as they refused to sub him. Now we know why...they've bent the rules..exploited them...found a loophole. In the heat of the moment, in the middle of the game, they knew this, so they must have had it it planned at the start of the season to just get a rubbish 2nd keeper in and hope their No1 never got injured for more than 5 games.

But what is to say that the goalkeeper they took on will be better than their number 2?

Because he's already been at Doncaster this season and did well for them.
Stoke rate him and he's still young, so he is proven in this league.

They clearly don't rate their back up, otherwise they would have played him.

Fair enough but I would say that if you are farming out your goalkeeper at this stage of the season then he can't be that good!
