Climate change: our weather

Post by Steve30000 »

According to the met office this is already starting to happen now. We're breaking records for the hottest days, the wettest days on record.

Apparently, it's only going to get worse, because our atmosphere has already been warmed up by 0. 9° already.
We need to take action now, not ten years later, otherwise we're going to destroy our world for future generations.

Let's hope they make it affordable for people to make the change, ie: electric cars, solar panels, energy efficient homes...

Yeah, I agree but why can't the government speed up the process by discounting the eco goods to make them more attractive.

Money is obviously more important than our planet. Don't see animals fighting each other for bits of paper and metal and destroying the planet that we live on.

They are going to have to get their priorities right soon because once it tips the wrong way it will be quick and there will be no stopping the massive changes that will follow - Hell on Earth!

Probably will be. I don't fancy long heatwaves of 40°, or weeks of heavy rain, or more storms.

Suppose it's ok for these billionaires though, they can live in underground bunkers in luxury while the rest of us struggle to cope mentally and financially.

Once the whole system flips, humans will not survive, it will be down to something else to become top dog but it will not be us in our form now.

We are so up ourselves because we are top of the food chain, but having a language does not define intelligence or a balanced mind. Quality of life is more than what we can buy or boast about. In the end we only have each other.

I'm working on it.

I heard this on the radio the other night.
Records only began in 1950.
And, until recently they never had any means of knowing if it had been raining there because they thought it only snowed and never had the right equipment there to measure rainfall.
It's still worrying, but as ever, tomorrow we will forget and carry on with our wasteful consumerism.
