I remember seeing "Meanwhile Back In Sunderland" many times. What a great capture-of-the-moment video. Whoever had the idea of making it deserves a medal.

I have no time to watch it again but will bookmark this page and possibly come back and watch it later in the week.

A great nostalgic moment.

Totally agree.
Whoever thought of making it deserves some recognition.

Its great to watch the old videos and look at the images of canny auld Sunderland.
I love this documentary.
Was it pre-planned or just scraps of film put together?
Mind boggling stuff and the title "Meanwhile Back In Sunderland" was so clever.

I love the music bit at the end. And its shocking how that lass shows her knickers with the cup winners on "Sunderland". Deary me did they do that in the 1970's

The quality of the photography wasn't really that good but maybe that's all the equipment they had to offer the producers in them days. Its not that bad and it actually adds to the flavour. Everything looks so ancient.
