Yes, but that doesn't take into account that some garages will profiteer on the cut in duty.

Can't wait until this drops again, which it will..that's where people need to boycott those garages. Hope they go bust

The petrol prices were going up daily.
1P or sometimes 2p so that would continue after the budget so it looks like the garages are profiting but I don't think they are.
Not in the way you might think anyway.

The only way we'd see a massive drop, is if we take away a large chunk of tax from it..57p is tax, then there's the fuel duty on top of that.. oh aye, then the 20% vat ..
5p is absolutely nothing.. rishi is taking the -:6(

The companies are not dropping the price.
The average drop AFTER the 5p reduction came in force was 2.7p.

Haway man, we all knew we would hardly see it drop. To be honest, the chancellor should have just left it as it was.

Are you trying to say that these companies would artificially keep the price as high as it is now, even if he removed all tax?Gambling Man wrote: ↑26 Mar 2022, 17:55 Haway man, we all knew we would hardly see it drop. To be honest, the chancellor should have just left it as it was.
Thereby proving that they're clearly profiteering from this situation?

When the price is as stupidly high as it is, and rishi takes a drop in the ocean off the price, it's not going to make any differenceSunderland Nut wrote: ↑27 Mar 2022, 05:12 I could only afford 35 litres this morning - £60.00.
