The motorist hit yet again!
You get money in one hand and then give it to the government with the other.

I remember paying 120, then every single year it just keeps going up..

When are they going to stop? When there's riots and they've hit people's limits?

Going by their logic it'll be 180 quid next year

So you pay tax when you first buy the car, then tax on the insurance, then tax on the service, then tax and duty on the petrol, then tax to keep it on the road.

Come on man.. 🙄

I had a car with zero tax, I think that was my Suzuki Alto.
Then my other was £20.00 tax, I can't remember what that was but either way if you have those cars the tax remains at that.
The government realised they were losing out by giving cheap tax to small cars and it doesn't happen now.

It's all about money and if you don't pay, you get nothing.
We can vote them out!

You can still buy cars with zero tax because I've seen quite a few recently.

The car will no doubt cost more than it usually would. So they claw the tax back that way

Probably electric ones but not petrol or diesel because that stopped years ago.
I believe if the car was tax-free a few years ago it will still be.

I was right. It's £180 now

So predictable.. I reckon it'll be £200 next year.

It's an utter disgrace, I'm not driving a tank, so why am I paying 180 quid? Disgusting

My car tax went up from £30 to £35.
I got the bill through the post but I left it for a few weeks thinking it would be the same but no.
OK, it went up a fiver but it all adds up.
