Not daft, are they?
Really?

If this is the case then it proves what an inept council we have.
Oh, by the way, it's Labour-run, what a surprise!
If you snooze, you lose or was it deliberate?

They are hoping to get 25,000
Sunderland gets 80 times more so I don't think they have stole the show.

Now that we are going to "live with covid" and all restrictions end today, Sunderland Council could give us back the air show.

It's what happens in a dictatorship
The problem is when you have a political party that gets in year in, year out they can do as they please with minimal fuss.
All the gripes we have about our city can be put down to Labour.
We could blame another party if they were in control for the last 60 years like this shower but we prefer the "luxury" of these monkeys with red rosettes.

They shouldn't have cancelled it.. cases were falling off a cliff, but they overreacted. Wonder how much money local businesses have lost this year, when we could have had it operational?

It should not have been cancelled unless there is something that we don't know about.
We have football matches with full stadiums and there's the Ed Sheeran concerts tonight and tomorrow with Elton John coming on the 19th.
The difference between those crowds and the airshow crowds is that people will have more distance at the airshows.
So it really didn't make sense to cancel if they were worried about the spread of Covid!

But the visitors offset any costs?
