We can only play what is in front of us
Bristol City couldn't handle the new boy Simms and brought substitutes on for that reason but they were still not good enough. After a shaky spell in the first half, Sunderland just gained confidence in the second half and deserved their win. I'm happy, hope you're happy too.

I am sure we got a 3-3 draw last time we played at Aston Gate. Today though, Bristol City played like Bristol Cities so we were always going to win. Well done to all the Sunderland players because a few years ago, those players would have dropped their heads.
