I've heard you have a million quid in the bank
Those houses will be classed as "affordable" but that word means different to whoever you talk to!

Let's hope they put all that prime land to good use so we can all enjoy it.

You know how long that land has been standing idol?
Remember the smell of the brewery?
Yes, it's that long!

What do they mean by renewable energy? Like, will there be solar panels on the houses?

Yep. Heat pumps instead of gas as well, electric charging points for cars

Is there really such a thing as renewable energy?
There has been a lot of debate about this recently.

Renewables don't pump co2 into the atmosphere for a start.
We can use sunlight to power our electricity, and wind turbines or even the tide... The technology is there.
Heat pumps can provide heat just using the air outside... There's no excuse imo. The only stumbling block is the price as always

This is what the debate is about because if it was viable we would have done a quick transformation within a couple of years.
The technology is there to have CLEANER energy but at what cost?
Nuclear energy is extremely clean and we are keeping away from that for a reason.
Wind power works but at what cost?
I agree that we should go for it but I think it's easier said than done.
