Rising operational costs, staff shortages and reduced government financial support have been blamed.

This is despite rising patient demand, and plans for pharmacists to provide more services to ease pressure on GPs.

Imo, it's a deliberate ploy by this evil, vindictive, corrupt, government. Underfund and undermine to have an excuse to privatise the NHS.

Chemists closing?
You can understand the reasons why post offices closed in numbers but not chemists.
