Sunderland v Sheffield United (New Years Day 2025)

I can't go to today's game, I am wrapped up with a lemsip.
The weather on Wearside is cold, but a good crowd is expected.

The line-up is as follows:

Sunderland AFC starting XI: Patterson; Hume, O'Nien, Mepham, Alese; Neil, Jobe; Roberts, Aouchiche, Mayenda; Isidor.
SAFC substitutes: Moore, Hjelde, Cirkin, Rusyn, Aleksic, Connolly, Johnson, Jones, Ogunsuyi.

Patterson saves a penalty in the 16th minute, so it's still 0-0.

It was a poor penalty like, but that's not taking anything away from Patto.

It went 1-1, but Sunderland struck back to restore their lead: 2-1 to the lads.

It's been a top-notch game so far, with loads of incidents. We deserve our lead at half-time.

What game are you watching, it's not half-time yet, but there are two minutes to go.

Get in.
We went two up front and managed to win one of the best teams in the Championship.
Brilliant.
Final score: Sunderland 2-1 Sheffield United.
Unbeaten at the Stadium of Light all season.
