The lass down the road has a Vauxhall Zafira and they look small for a 7 seater. Getting out in a hurry may be a problem.

I am sure Vauxhall are doing their best and we can only pray that no other Zafira has these overheating problems before they find a solution.

At the end of the day nothing will be perfect and especially when it comes to cars.
The best advice anyone can have is if they smell smoke coming from a Vauxhall Zafira to get out of the car and investigate.

..... and Sunderland, the underdogs, are in the lead!

Good advice with any car.
There is very little space inside a car so any oxygen could be used up very quickly because of a fire.
Then there are smouldering electric wires and other bits of plastic that may not actually burn but will let off toxic fumes.
Get out the car any time you smell any form of smoke.

The Vauxhall Zafira "A" models are unaffected.
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer models are unaffected.
Only the Vauxhall Zafira "B" models are affected and only if they have the manual air conditioning. From these only those that have had a repair could be affected.
So the Vauxhall Zafira cars are safe, it was the faulty replacement parts that might have been fitted which has caused the problem.
If you owned the Vauxhall Zafira from new and you are sure that the heating or air conditioning has never been repaired then it will be safe.
If your Zafira's air conditioning was repaired then get it checked out.

Well there you have it folks!
The Vauxhall Zafira was a safe motor car until the repairs were carried out to the heating system.
A faulty resistor that failed to operate when the thing overheated was the cause and that faulty resister would have only been put in there after a repair job.

I might have the day off today!

My mate has had a Vauxhall Zafira for years without any trouble at all. It has never even broke down once.
