Depression
Anyone on the Sunderland Forum suffer from depression?
It's been with me for a while, you get good days and bad days, I guess.
I don't think the lockdown has made anything worse for me mentally but I am tending to think a little more with the spare time on my hands.

Re: Depression
A few years ago I was really down but recently I have kept active and forgot about those dark days.
I sympathise with anyone going through depression because it's not until you've been there that you understand what it's like.
Chin up monty.

Re: Depression
The fact that you are saying this may mean that subconsciously it has had an affect.
If I start to feel down, I make sure I do something to take my mind off things.
At the minute, I am working all hours God sends so I have no time to feel depressed.
Think positive monty and try and stay active in some way.

Re: Depression
You really never understand what pain anyone is going through.
I sympathise with those suffering from depression.
You will have good and bad days and hopefully the good days make up for the bad days.
Stay strong

Re: Depression
Most people get it at some time or another.
If it's severe it all gets classed as PTSD and they will try and stuff you with anti-depressants.
My advice is not to take their drugs because it will mess with your mind even more.
It's a modern disease because of modern-day problems.
Try keeping an active mind and never go in your shell because that's far too easy.

Re: Depression
This is very true.
Remember that Winston Churchill suffered from depression and many other famous people nowadays are having a bad time.
Most people do feel down from time to time but I would imagine it affects people in different ways.
I would agree that you should stay as active as possible both mentally and physically.

Re: Depression
Oh I am @Trish.
They say the winter weather can bring on the blues and we have had some terrible weather.
What with that and the coronavirus and cleaning everything with Domestos and antivirus wipes and all that
I only mentioned depression because a lot of us seem to be down a little.
I am not half as bad as some people and I do try and stay active.

Re: Depression
I have a mate who has depression and he locks himself away most of the time when he's at home.
He comes out drinking with us a lot (before the coronavirus lockdown that it) and you would never know he is suffering from depression.
