As far as I'm aware, the body only produces antibodys as long as the infection is there to fight off, then it wanes. Then the body remembers this for next time, so you lose the antibodies but not the memory of how to fight it off.

It might differ if people can't cope straight away because they may be carriers passing it on and we will not know this for a while to come.
