A right-back that can also play in midfield, Hume moves to the Stadium of Light from Danske Bank Premiership outfit Linfield FC for an undisclosed fee and signs a four-and-a-half-year contract on Wearside with a club option of a further year.
It's started early this season

Sunderland has been following Trai Hume for a while.
They have slightly different ways over Northern Ireland and SAFC have been looking into all his background including social media to make sure the lad is sound.
There are things we won't know about but according to some people, they have done a lot of homework on the lad.
Even though other clubs were interested, you can bet that the kid would have preferred the Stadium of Light before all of them.
A good signing in my mind.

I'm only going by his picture with a Sunderland shirt on and he looks hungry for the game but in a cheeky way. That will do for me though.
