Anything that makes the place look nicer is good.

There seems to be a lot of investment in the city recently.
I like this idea because that area wasn't inviting at all.

Those plans sound good to me if not a little off the beaten track.

Wait until we get that footbridge though. The beaten track will have a short cut 😄

I doubt if the footbridge will bring customers.
That bridge will only get foot traffic mainly from the match.
Nah, it will be taxi's all the way.

I can't see people not using it during the week.

They will but not too many.
Just look at how many walk over the Northern Spire, not many.
I remember when we used to drink in the Stadium of Light and that was out the road for doing that.
Taxi drivers will benefit without a doubt but I wonder what the parking situation will be like.

The spire is a vehicle bridge mainly, and it was built to help with future congestion in mind as well as the development of new businesses along the wear.
It was also built to keep Nissan here with regards to easy transport links for their cars

I can't wait for the footbridge to be built because it will be far easier to get into that area.
