Russians are playing a losing game

Post by Sunderland Nut »

If the Russians invade Ukraine soon, we are all going to suffer depending on the scale at which they go in.
They will first have to counter the Ukrainian forces that are the second biggest in Europe after Russia.
It will not end well and the Ruskies stand to lose big style.

I am convinced now that Putin is s delusional psychopath and his people are going to suffer even more deprivation.

Any war is bad but you just can't work out why Putin could still risk World War III.

What could happen here is countries taking sides, we know who our allies are and have an idea who would join forces with them.
Once you get an escalation, anything can happen.

Why would anyone side with them? Unless they have an appetite for war for no reason

The only reason why Putin hasn't marched in is that he doesn't really want war, nobody does.
He has tested the West and it's 50/50 still whether he takes the plunge, he is still assessing things.
So far he has seen that NATO is not as united as it should be, especially in cases like Germany which rely so much on Russian fuel.

Then you have the Chinese who want Taiwan and are testing our resolve daily on that score.
Both the Russians and Chinese are close and that is one worry but there will be others who side with them.
If it all kicks off together then we will be stretched.

The problem being is that we can't sit back and let these idiots walk into independent self-determining sovereign nations.
There will be no boots on the ground in Ukraine because they are not in NATO but we have armed them and they will be no pushover.

We don't want another war, we have enough to worry about. We should be fixing our planet, not fighting each other
