Ross Stewart.
I couldn't see that goal coming.
It was completely against the run of play and two minutes into the four minutes of added time.
There's the half-time whistle.
Stoke City 0-1 Sunderland
What was that you said again?

Stoke City players were a bit lazy there.
No taking anything away from the finishing by Ross Stewart though.

Matete and O'Nien have not come out for the second half so it looks like Alex Neil is going for the no-nonsense approach.

Eight bookings in this game - five for Sunderland.
Is there any new rules for this season that the gaffer doesn't know about

We are playing slightly better in the second half but we know that Stoke will throw the kitchen sink soon.
Can Sunderland hold out for what would be a perfect example of a smash-and-grab win?

Ross Stewart could have wrapped it up there but it was not to be.
We have five minutes of added time starting now.
Haway the lads.

It was a game of two halves.
We were crap in the first half but went in one goal up.
In the second half, we upped our game to hold the lead.
I love owt like this.
