Fat Cats Who Work For Sunderland City Council
With the average wage in Sunderland around the £20,000 mark a Conservative Councillor has took a swipe at some of the fat cats sitting in prime jobs on the council.
It has been found that 45 workers, mainly heads and deputy heads are earning more than £60,000 or more.
Councillor Robert Oliver says that the chief executive in Sunderland is on a higher wage than the prime minister and some of the lowest earner is only managing 10p more than the minimum wage.
The Conservative councillor continues by saying the Labour Party cannot complain about the higher earners elsewhere when they run Sunderland City Council.

Overpaid and fat cats eh
Who could have thought that the Labour Party were full of Champagne Charlies. Aren't they supposed to be socialists?
And what of the Tories quizzing this lol
Is it only the Conservatives that can promote capitalism
Vote the lot out.

LEAFLET FROM THE LIB DEMS IN SUNDERLAND
This is what the leaflet says:
"50% pay rise for Labour councillor"
"While local roads crumble, Labour councillors have handed a 50% pay rise to one of their colleagues"
It goes on to say that the Deputy Mayor's allowance will rocket up by this amount after he complained about the cost of buying suits, raffle tickets and glasses of wine
My opinion is that it should be a privilege to serve the City of Sunderland and that a 50% rise is far too much considering all the cutbacks and that benefits to the needy are being cut and some people are living off food banks.
