Not really and fuel price rises in turn can have an effect on prices in the shops.

If people lose their jobs, their high prices won't stay

We might see a few job losses, say 100-200,000.
We will recover, but I can't see the prices of fuel falling again because lockdowns like this are going to be few and far between.
If there ever is another lockdown it better be serious and not something that a couple of paracetamol can't cure.

To be perfectly honest I never thought that petrol would be sold for less than a pound again.
It was a pleasant surprise but I knew all along that it would go back up to £1.20 as soon as they could.
Now it's rising by a penny every few days.

The sooner electric cars drop in price, the better.

All Honda cars will be either electric or hybrid by 2022, so they are doing their bit.

The prices are ridiculous though. I really wanted to get one, but putting another 10 grand on the price just cos it has a battery instead of an engine is ridiculous.Sunderland Nut wrote: ↑04 Jul 2020, 10:11All Honda cars will be either electric or hybrid by 2022, so they are doing their bit.

It should be cheaper, not more expensive.
These petrol forecourts can then do one, the electricity should be cheaper and more environmentally friendly, and the bonus is that it screws the oil companies over.
