Mathematically safe

Post by Steve30000 »

That's us definitely in the championship next year. 17 points clear of 3rd bottom with 5 games to go.
Seeing as we're on 58 points, the team 3rd bottom can only get 56 points if they win all 5

We've achieved our aim this season, now some are wanting a miracle to happen to get the play offs.

Unlike others, Sunderland does have something to play for.

The thing is with promotion, would we have enough in reserve to survive in the Premier League? I don't think we would so another season in the Championship will not do us any harm. I'm in two minds about whether promotion would be a good or bad thing. I know most supporters would still want to go up.

So would I because I think the investment would come later.
