Sunderland AFC v Swansea City - Feb 2024

Post by Nockya »

Sunderland AFC v Swansea City - Feb 2024.

After the sacking of Michael Beale, we now have Mike Dodds at the helm again for the second time this season.
The fans want success obviously and we all have respect for the caretaker manager.

Kick-off is on Wearside is 3 pm and the weather is cold with sunny periods.

Dodds makes changes for today's game at the Stadium of Light.
Jenson Seelt, Abdoullah Ba and Nazariy Rusyn start the game, while Callum Styles makes his Black Cats debut.
So, he already has made a stand.

The team sheet is:
Sunderland AFC starting XI: Patterson, Hume, Seelt, O'Nien, Hjelde, Styles, Neil, Ekwah, Ba, Bellingham, Rusyn.
SAFC Substitutes: Bishop, Pembele, Mundle, Rigg, Kelly, Lavery, Aouchiche, Hemir, Burstow.

It's brasso out there but I hope the lads warm us all up.
I'd say we will win 3-1.

We are getting beat because the defence went to sleep.
After 20 minutes it is Sunderland 0-1 Swansea.

We are disjointed so that goal was inevitable.
Swansea is sensing blood, I'm afraid!

2-0 to Swansea and their goalscorer is looking for a hat-trick.

What a load of absolute tosh. It's OK saying we respect the caretaker coach, but this is pathetic.

It's just a stroll in the park for Swansea. The defence wants a bomb up their backside because Swansea have some fast runners up front. Where was the bloody homework on that score?

We have gone to a straight four at the back and hopefully, it's a bit tighter.
It's just a shame they couldn't have started defensively.
Doddsy has a lot to learn.
