Norwich City vs Sunderland - March 2024

Norwich City vs Sunderland - March 2024

Sunderland go to Carrow Road today after a run of poor form.
So, can the lads start to up their game again and come back from Norfolk with three points?
Norwich hasn't been beaten in the last five games while Sunderland has had three consecutive defeats behind them.

Can the Black Cats devour the canaries today, then?
We will see, come 5 pm.
The weather down at Norwich is better than predicted. It is cloudy with showers and is cold and breezy.

The team today is:

Sunderland AFC starting XI: Patterson, Hume, Seelt, O'Nien, Hjelde, Ekwah, Neil, Mundle, Bellingham, Styles, Hemir.
SAFC Substitutes: Bishop, Pembele, Ba, Aouchiche, Rigg, Kelly, Rusyn, Burstow, Lavery.

That means Mike Dodds has made two changes from last week's defeat against Swansea City.
Luis Hemir makes his first start for the Black Cats while Romaine Mundle is recalled.
That means Abdoullah Ba and Nazariy Rusyn have a place on the bench.

I think we will get well and truly beaten today - 3-1. Sorry for being negative but we are going on the slide right now.

I might have the day off today!

What happened to the Friendly Cup we play for?
I never hear much about that nowadays.

Today, I think the lads will go for a draw and get it.
I have heard Norwich might be playing two up front, so Mike Dodds should go for a defensive line-up.
My prediction is a 1-1 boring draw except for two flashes of brilliance, but all in all a cautious game.

Haway The Lads.

It's peeing down at Carrow Road now so I hope our young lads can get to grips with the weather.

Bad weather only because of the rain but these are supposed to be professional football players and the weather shouldn't come into it!
I think we should go for a draw, though.

Well, the lads have managed to go in at half-time 0-0.
That's decent for now but we need to get to full-time with a draw or a win because a sucker punch or a sneaky goal by Norwich would be a bad result.
At least we are trying but it's a boring game.

Haway, man, the weather is nowt ffs.
We need a win and this game is there for the taking if they can just go that extra mile.
