Sunderland vs QPR - March 2024

Sunderland vs QPR - March 2024

On Wearside today, the weather is sunny periods through the patchy clouds, it is reasonably warm for this time of year.
The Stadium of Light is filling upcanny.
SoL has new speakers in the stadium.
I think they are replaced because of the vocals not being heard clearly, not the music.

It would take a miracle for Sunderland to get into the top six and we'd need a total disaster to end up in the relegation zone.
Today, our young lads take on an experienced Queens Park Rangers team (including Colback).
Can the Black Cats show the Hoops what we are made of?

So, there are three changes to the team that got beaten 4-2 by Southampton last week.

Sunderland starting team - the XI: Patterson, Hume, Ballard, Hjelde, Styles, Neil, Bellingham, Ba, Aouchiche, Mundle, Hemir.
SAFC substitutes: Bishop, Pembele, Bainbridge, Ekwah, Dack, Rigg, Kelly, Jones, Burstow.

We need three points and I am going for Sunderland to win 2-1.

Jack Colback isn't being welcomed like he would have had he not snaked off to Newcastle.

Got me popcorn and buck fizz, well, Fanta. Reet, my feet are up and I'm expecting some of these young lads to become heroes today.

Who on earth passed that ball across the box?
Wow, talk about pressing the self-destruct button.
Haway man, get your act together lads.
There's only one way to get experience and that is to not be a dick around the box.

40th minute and it's still 0-0.
Is this good or bad?

Believe me, that is good because a point would be better than none. I think QPR are not playing too well. The lads can get a goal or two if they try, while QPR can only tread water. We can have a flash of brilliance like last week, I am hoping.
